Wisconsin School Tobacco Prevention ResourcesDue to the significant reduction in tobacco funding provided in the state biennial budget, school tobacco grants at the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) will be eliminated. Therefore, despite the fact that we were scheduled to implement programs that were to have been in the second year of a two-year grant cycle, there will be no state tobacco grant funding available to schools in 2009-2010. DPI staff members are disappointed by this decision. We send this announcement to you with great regret. Thank you for your hard work and efforts in tobacco prevention in the past. Building Skills for Health Literacy on Tobacco ClassAlso information on Human Sexuality and NutritionThe Building Skills for Health Literacy training explores strategies for teaching and assessing the skills of the health education standards.
